In the wooded heart of DC, I had the total honor today to witness, be a part of, and capture Daniel & Fernanda’s beautiful wedding at the DC War Memorial! It was a hot summer day, and of course since I was wearing black, I was already sweating like crazy when the bridal party arrived. lol But it was a day that was so beautiful, it had such blue skies and no clouds, that it made you feel like you could even think more clearly. 🙂 The newly re-finished memorial was so beautiful itself, too! All the details and history behind all of it is quite amazing too.
I arrived early, and not even the minister had arrived yet, so it gave me some good time to enjoy the scenery, relax, and take it all in. 🙂 Soon after, the officiant arrived, and we got to chat about our experiences and how we’d run into each other a few times now, ideas, etc. A few minutes later, the limousine and bus arrived, and the handsome Army guy, looking very ready to wed his beautiful Brazilian Bride! Then soon thereafter, after a few chairs and getting into places, the beautiful Fernanda stepped out of the limo with her gorgeous flower girl and beloved father…walked down the walkway to the historic monument, and joined her man in matrimony.
I had a wonderful time with this beautiful couple and their friends and family, and even got to take some great group shots on the monuments! 🙂
